How It Works
Step 1:
Initial In-office Consultation
Call 618-575-0218 to schedule an in-person consultation with our board-certified physician at Quell Aesthetics & Wellness. This consultation includes an optional body composition analysis using our state-of-the-art InBody 580, a physical exam & a comprehensive reivew of your medical history & blood work. We will quickly determine if our medical metabolic optimization and weight management program is right for you.
Step 2:
Get a Customized Weight Loss Plan
During your consultation, we personalize your metabolic optimization and medical weight loss plan (including our dietary recommendtaions and exercise routine). If appropriate, your plan will include a prescription weight loss medication (e.g. semaglutide or tirzepatide), and the first dose will be administered on your first visit. The cost of this medication dose is included in your consutltation fee! If appropriate, additional weight loss boosters (e.g. vitamin B12, lipotropic injections, hormone optimization & other peptides), supplements, probiotics and more may be offered at an additional charge. We also address many of the comorbid medical conditions that have kept you from losing weight in the past, like insulin resistance, nutritional deficiencies, hormone and thyroid dysfunction.
Step 3:
Weekly Consults with a Provider
Weekly visits with our nurse or physician are used to administer medication(s), answer questions, and to track your progress. Our goal is to create a more healthful, “metabolically flexible” person who can enjoy life again. Build muscle mass, increase your basal metabolic rate, and eat the foods you want! As you proceed along your journey, we are there every step of the way, to address any issues if they arise and offer additional modalitlies to improve your success. We don’t advocate for fast weight loss! We think slow and steadiness wins the race. That said, we value your time, money and dedication and want our patients to stay engaged in this exciting journey. Our providers (who are also our patients) shoot for optimal fat loss, while maintaining muscle mass. This is no easy task! Our treatments are so effective, you can expect to lose anywhere from 5-20 pounds per month, simply by following our recommended dietary, exercise and medication plan.
Affordable weight loss plans
We offer a no-charge assessment to decide if our program is a fit for you. If you decide to start our program, we charge $199 for our consultation (includes an InBody 580 body scan and your first dose of semaglutide) or $249 for our consultation (includes and InBody 580 body scan your first dose of tirzepatide). Thereafter, continuing care with with our providers with compounded semaglutide starts at $60/week and tirzepatide starts at $80/week. We have no mandatory membership fees! We strongly encourage patients to continue to track segmental fat loss with our InBody 580 to ensure you’re not losing muscle! The first body composition scan is now included in new patient consultations! We offer some patients the flexibility to self-administer their weight loss medications from home. However, we also are proud to offer patients the opportunity to visit our Maryville and Shiloh clinics and meet face-to-face with doctors on a regular basis. The cost of these visits is included in our medication charge. Unlike other local weight loss programs, there are no other mandatory, monthly madmembership charges!

Does QUELL Aesthetics & Wellness, PLLC take medical insurance?
Our cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment regimens are not yet covered by health insurance. Accordingly, we offer cash several optional MEMBERSHIP and a la carte options for our non-covered procedures and treatments.

Will I have to administer my own injections?
For your convenience, we train all patients on how to correctly administer all injectable medications. However, Quell has trained providers on location who are capable of administering the shots for you and offer interval assessment and assist you along your journey, for no additional cost. We find that patients who come to our offices weekly for medication administration lose more fat, more consistently and faster than those patients who choose to home administer.
What forms of payment to you accept?
We currently accept cash, credit cards, debit cards and SOME HSA cards. We do not accept personal checks. We expect payment at the time services are rendered. Given the time and nature of our new patient and follow-up appiontments, we request at least 24-hour notification of any cancellation.
How much weight will I lose?
Actual weight loss is dependent on a number of factors but many clients lose around 5% of their initial body weight. Over 12 weeks, it can be as high as 10% and over 24 weeks, it can be as high as 20-40% with some of our advanced, multi-modality care plans. This equates to a weight loss of 40–80 pounds for a 200-pound person. Of course we have patients who have lost less, and many who have lost MUCH MORE!
*Everyone is different, and results may vary, and the most successful patients follow our entire plan, and work hard to make dietary and lifestyle changes.
What Are The Most Common Side Effects And Who Should Not Take Semaglutide or Tirzepatide?
Schedule an appointment with our team to discuss if weight loss medications such as semaglutide or tirzepatide are right for you. The most common side effects of GLP-1’s are dehydration and GI issues like constipation, diarrhea, indigestion, bloating and reflux. We have a proprietary management protocol to prevent or reduce and relieve most GI symptoms through our immune-modulation of the gut microbiome. Current strict contraindications to the use of GLP-1 analogues are: pancreatitis, medullary thryroid carcinoma and multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2.
What happens at my first visit?
Our team will first assess your metabolic health and comorbid conditions to determine what if any additional diagnostic testing is required to determine the causes of your weight gain and metabolic inflexibility. The cornerstone of our metabolic and weight management program is the use of a GLP-1 analogue like sematglutide or tirzepatide to alter your appetite and glucose metabolism. If there are no contraindications and your laboratory work is normal, you will receive your first dose on the first visit. Prior to this, we will first perform an InBody 580 body assessment to analyze your current body composition and basal metabolic rate. We may add additional diagnostic and treatment options depending on comorbid medical conditions, age and gender. Depending on your specific requriements, we may suggest a few key supplements, IV micronutrition and hydration, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, thryoid or growth hormone optimization and the use of weight training or EvolveX to increase muscle mass, changes to your diet, other peptides and endocrine optimization, all of which can dramatically improve your metabolic state.
